New Publix draws more commercial interest to key Narcoossee intersection | GrowthSpotter

With development now underway at a new Publix-anchored shopping center at the southeast corner of Narcoossee Road and Cyrils Drive, buyer interest is picking up for the neighboring commercial site.

Developer/owner Daryl Carter said they broke ground a few months ago on Cornerstone at Narcoossee, which will have a 49,000-square-foot Publix grocery store, plus about 12,000 square feet of attached in-line retail. It’s the only grocery store on Narcoossee Road between U.S. 192 and the Orange County line.

Now he has a buyer under contract for the 10-acre parcel across the street at the northeast corner of the intersection.

“They’re local developers, and they see it as a long-term investment,” Carter told GrowthSpotter.

Seminole County may bid against homebuilders for a 50-acre equestrian site in Lake Mary | GrowthSpotter

It’s no surprise to land broker Daryl Carter that a roughly 50-acre piece of property in Lake Mary has garnered so much interest after landing on the market two weeks ago.

The site, formerly used as an equestrian training, boarding, and storage facility, is two miles west of where I-4 meets S.R. 417 and S.R. 429. Located near the Heathrow community and a short drive from restaurants, retailers, schools, and medical offices, the property has a land designation that allows for the development of up to one residential unit per acre.

“We’ve had tremendous interest in the property, not surprisingly,” Carter said, adding that he already has three offers in hand. “It’s hard to find decent-sized developable properties in that area anymore.”

Carter, with Maury L Carter & Associates. Inc., expects to receive more offers soon, including from Seminole County as the government body looks to become a bigger player in sports tourism.

Carter said the property is on the market without a price in order to find the best offer.

“It’s a great property,” he said. “I’d be pleased if the county was able to acquire it and use it to benefit residents and visitors, but one way or the other it’s going to sell and there’s a lot of interest already.”
