One Oak Development buys commercial parcels on Boggy Creek Road | GrowthSpotter

Clearwater-based developer recently closed on multiple commercial parcels within the mixed-use Nona West project near Lake Nona and plans to start construction in the coming months.

Maury L. Carter & Associates has plans to build a mixed-use development called Bennett Place right across the street from Tyson Ranch PD. Plans for the development call for 200 hotel rooms, 150 hospital beds, 350 multifamily units, 25,000 square feet of medical office space, and 25,000 square feet of commercial space. Dowd Properties is under contract to buy 18.5 acres and build a 350-unit apartment community at the site.

State approves purchase of 1,300-plus acres to expand Deep Creek Preserve in Volusia | Spectrum News 13

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida Cabinet approved the purchase of more than 1,300 acres adjacent to the Deep Creek Preserve that has been identified by the Volusia County Council as a high priority to be acquired, the county announced Thursday.

The land, owned by M.L. Carter Services, Inc., and known as the Carter Quail Ranch, will expand the preserve to 9,395 acres and lies within the Volusia Conservation Corridor.
